Charterhouse represents B&Rs largest project to date along with a fast-track programme. With 200,000 square ft of office space and a large multi storey basement area, the compliance with the required programme was critical in B&R’s appointment by SES having completed prestigious projects previously for SES’s parent company WATES. B&R carried out the entire ventilation package including the fire rated ductwork and fire rated insulation to EN 1366 standard, as well as completing some minor mechanical steelwork elements such as AHU access platforms, riser infills and stepovers. The logistical constraints of the projects centred around the basement ductwork due to its size. Some items of ductwork measured 5mx2m and installation of these had to be carefully planned and co-ordinated with the other services.
