Dufferin Street – EC1

Dufferin Street was a project in which B&R were able to showcase a variety of our different disciplines in one place. The refurbishment of the 5 story building near London’s Old Street Roundabout and in the centre of the new Tech district, was designed by HUT architecture . The building mixes clean contemporary lines with raw industrial finishes and exposed services which puts extra attention on the aesthetics of what was installed.  With this in mind the ventilation services installed by B&R was clad in aluminium to again conform to the industrial theme.

B&R also installed mild steel stairs from basement to fourth floor powder coated in black to suit the monochrome colouring throughout the building. The main feature of the building however from an external standpoint was the powder coated metal fins spanning the ground floor windows. B&R was initially given the architect’s original sketch, from which point we was able to design, fabricate and install a working final product which went on to become a major selling point for the developer.
